Greg, lol re: Lung Minister recollections. Thought you might find it of interest that I recently got a message from Gordie T. that Clive Twiffle has been wanting to "talk" with us for some reason. Hope he isn't still expecting reimbursment for the time we walked out of that dump we were staying in while recording 'Fulcrum' in Vancouver; hardly proper lodgings, as I recall. anyway, I hear he's been booking some of the nostalgia events lately...hmmm...

An addition to the band/song list below, as per a recent discussion with greg:

Spartacus Way, released 2 lp's of note ; "Banish the Fulcrum" and also "Half-wits and Secondary Sources" which had the hit single "Token Mismatch".

greg also brought up his side project with the group "Lung Minister", with their european ep release "Bribe the Reaper". It still gets airplay in the Baltics.

more from the as if anybody cares category

band names for 70's groups that Greg and I were in at one point or another before we had the "parting o' the ways" during that gig in Fort Wayne (Memorial Coliseum?). Also, some of the songs we did in said groups.

1. Sunscrew - d.o.a. after the ill-timed release of an acoustic lp of Japanese sea chantys, specifically songs from the tradition of the whalers from the Hokaido prefecture.

2. jesusfish - Christian ska/reggae groove band way too ahead of its time.

3. Rogue Element - Heavy fusion rock ensemble noted for a rock opera based upon the life of the Roman Emperor Constantine. Contained such bombastic anthems as "By This Sign, Conquer!" and "Milvrian Bridge". Stage show included 3/8 scale hippodrome for staging of chariot race scene.

4. Strait Jacket - from the "philosophical rock" genre, with much material drawn from the band members personal encounters with the professional mental health system. One lp released; "Binge Thinker".

In spite of this history, g. and i are still considering a reunion tour...
