In Kavala, Greece tonight after a beautiful drive from Constantinople. Tomorrow we go to Mt. Athos for a 3 day stay at a monastery. This NE part of Greece looks a whole lot like the American SW, specially New Mexico or parts of Northern Utah. Even the jumk piles of old cars and farm equipment look the same as some small town in NM. You could take anyone fron Sandoval County New Mexico, blind fold them and set them down here and take the blind fold off, and it would look like home to them (and me since I used to live there).
More when I can. We were at St. Paul's jail cell in Phillipi today. Lots and lots of amazing place and sights every time you turn around.
be good,
Mark

This just in from Jeff.......

This week on Folk Salad, Richard Higgs was unable to join me on Folk Salad,
so I invited a special guest DJ, Jeff Graham of The Painkillers fame and
formerly lead guitar player for Tex Montana, as well as being the tamborine
player on Yellow Submarine. Ok, just kidding about that last part, but he
does play a mean tamborine as opposed to a green tamborine. Anyway Jeff
brought in a whole mess of CDs (that's a bunch) from his personal collection
to share with me and our listeners. Now I warn you, Jeff has alot
rockabilly and some 80's pop seasoned with a dash of twang and that is what
he serves up this week on Folk Salad. Here's the menu.
