Back from new york in most of one piece. Five days in the town of towns, as they like to think. An interesting enough place to visit, and I wouldn't mind going back for an extended stay sometime since I know some people who are natives and who can show me around. A bit on the expensive side, however. Met up with an old pal and we went out to a typical place to have some beverages. I'm not a big consumer by any stretch, trust me, so when the bill is $36 and you've only had two drinks each...that's an eye-opener.
While there, Joe and Greg and I found out we'd been booked in Boston for Saturday night, which was tonight. Following RGNC prerogative and precedent when playing out of town, we were booked under an alias: "Janitor School". So, we went, we played, and somewhere along the way we managed to have a major meltdown on stage that has essentially resulted in the demise of "Janitor School" for all intents and purposes. An acrimonious and bitter split that shocked the concert goers and frankly even caught the band members by surprise before we even realized what we had done. But that's why we assume the alias, and now we can just regroup and book under another name and nobody is the wiser.
Anyways, that's the latest for now. Had the pleasure of watching DVD Andy Griffith episodes on the laptop while staying high up in the Bentley Hotel on the upper East side of Manhattan with a view of the East River and the Queensborough Bridge out the window. Listened to Bluegrass too...And I agree that "Buckaroo" is one of the alltime coolest guitar tunes when played by Don Rich, and also by Clarence White.

be good.
